Abstract

Several dual-band three-dimensional magnetic EZ antenna designs and their simulated performance characteristics are presented. The proposed antennas are formed by integrating multiple capacitively loaded loop elements with a coaxially fed electrically small semicircular loop antenna. They can be designed for a broad range of frequencies by tuning the near field resonant parasitic elements separately. The design details, radiation efficiencies, and fractional bandwidths of these antenna systems for their different dual-band frequency ranges are reported. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
