Abstract

A novel power divider with fixed strip width using offset double-sided parallel-strip lines (DSPSL) is proposed. The offset double-sided parallel-strip lines allows an additional design freedom, i.e., offset distance between the top and bottom strips of the offset double-sided parallel-strip lines for characteristic impedance besides the strip width. This can reduce the discontinuities effectively resulting from the change of the strip width and improve the power-handling capability of the proposed power divider. The simulated and measured results are presented and show good agreement. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
