Selective inhibition of PED protein expression sensitizes B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukaemia cells to TRAIL-induced apoptosis

Details are in the caption following the image
Effects of antisense oligodeoxynucleotides on PED expression- (a) HeLa cells were transfected with different PED antisense ODNs (A1-A6) or with scrambled ODN (C). PED's levels were analysed by western blotting. Loading control was assessed with an anti-beta actin antibody. (c) HeLa cells were transfected with PED antisense ODN A3 or with scrambled ODN for different lengths of time after which cells were harvested and PED expression analyzed by Western blotting. Loading was assessed on the same membrane with an anti-β-actin antibody.
Details are in the caption following the image
A. Downregulation of PED in B lymphocytes obtained from B-CLL patients increases sensitivity to TRAIL-induced cell death- Western blot analysis of B-CLL cells incubated for 48 h with 1, 2 or 5 μM antisense ODN (AS3) or with scrambled ODN (Sc) with PED antibodies. Loading control was assessed with anti-beta actin antibody.
Details are in the caption following the image
Effects of Cycloheximide on PED expression – CHX dose–response of PED expression. B-CLL cells were incubated with different amounts of CHX for 24 h, as indicated, and PED expression then analyzed by Western blot. Loading control was assessed with anti-beta actin antibody.
