The notice refers to the article in the April 2020 issue of Hepatology, titled “CRAF Methylation by PRMT6 Regulates Aerobic Glycolysis–Driven Hepatocarcinogenesis via ERK-Dependent PKM2 Nuclear Relocalization and Activation,” (volume 71, pages 1279-1296; doi: 10.1002/hep.30923), by Tin-Lok Wong et al.
The data from the confocal imaging shows that there is an increase in both nuclear and cytosolic PKM2. This raises the possibility that CRAF methylation by PRMT6 may increase glycolysis by nuclear translocation of PKM2, by increase cytosolic expression of PKM2 or a combination of the two.
