James M. Owendoff

James M. Owendoff: was named acting assistant secretary for the Environmental Management program in January 1998. Upon arriving at the Department in 1995, he was the deputy assistant secretary for Environmental Restoration, and in 1997, was named the acting principal deputy assistant secretary. Prior to joining the Department, he served in the Office of the Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Environmental Security and Chief of the Air Force Environmental Restoration Division.
