Abstract

Novel indolizine and annulated indolizine derivatives incorporating a cyclopropylcarbonyl group are synthesized in a one-pot procedure by regioselective [3+2] cycloaddition of an in situ prepared pyridinium ylide to electron deficient alkenes.
