ChemInform Abstract

The synthesis of new stereochemically homogenous chiral oxazines [cf. (IV)] and their use as two-carbon synthons for enantio- and diastereoselective synthesis of tetrahydro-β-carbolines, which can be converted into congeners of yohimbine alkaloids, is presented.
