ChemInform Abstract

3-Haloflavones (II) are easily and selectively prepared from the corresponding flavone derivatives under mild conditions and in good yields using a iodobenzene diacetate/trimethylsilyl halide system. Use of polymer-supported iodobenzene diacetate provides similar product yields but offers advantages in purification.
