ChemInform Abstract

A new, more concise and convergent route to the ABC-ring fragment of ciguatoxin (XI) and the synthesis of related analogue (XIV) starting from commercially available protected D-glucal (I) are described. Interactions of corresponding hapten—BSA conjugates with monoclonal antibodies are studied by surface plasmon resonance spectroscopy.
