ChemInform Abstract

The title compound (VI), an imidazole analogue of the antitumor agent tiazofurin, is synthesized and evaluated for its growth inhibitory activity of human myelogenous leukemia K562 cells. Imidazofurin proves to be nontoxic to cell growth.
