ChemInform Abstract

Glycosyl allyl dithiocarbonates such as (I) appear to be efficient glycosyl donors in the presence of soft iodonium-type activators providing 1,2-cis-glycosides with high stereoselectivity. NIS in the presence of TfOH is found to be the most effective reagent system for allylic dithiocarbonate activation.
