ChemInform Abstract

The synthesis of title compound (XI) is based on an Evan′s asymmetric aldol reaction of oxazole (I) and aldehyde (II) to set up the first two chiral centers and an intramolecular Wadsworth—Emmons reaction of the ketone (IX).
