ChemInform Abstract

Synthesis, biological evaluation, and structure—activity relationships of a new family of thiadiazine dioxides is described. The biological data reveal that these compounds represent the first heterocyclic family of compounds with PDE 7 inhibitory properties appearing to be a new objective for the treatment of T-cell-dependent disorders. The benzothienothiadiazine moiety [cf. compounds (IV)] shows a slight increase in the inhibitory enzyme potency compared to the benzothiadiazine [cf. (VII)].
