ChemInform Abstract

A novel approach for selective C—C bond formation between aryl and alkyl or alkynyl ligands of intermediate organozinc compounds is realized by VOCl2(OEt) promoted oxidative cross-coupling. In general, triorganozincates (III) and (XI) undergo a more facile oxidation compared with diorganozinc derivatives (VII).
