ChemInform Abstract

In the presence of Sc(O-Tf)3 acrylimides containing achiral and chiral oxazolidinone auxiliaries undergo formation of alternating 1:1 copolymers. Highly isotactic copolymers are obtained from chiral acrylimides. Homopolymerization of an achiral acrylimide proceeds with temperature-dependent preference for the r dyad.
