ChemInform Abstract

The phase diagram of the CrS—Er2S3 system is characterized by the presence of four ternary compounds, i.e. CrEr2S4 (I), CrEr4S7 (II), Cr2Er6S11 (III), and Cr3Er8S15 (IV). Compound (III) as well as its analogues Cr2Ln6S11 (Ln: Gd, Tb, Ho) possess paramagnetic properties in the temperature range 80—300 K.
