ChemInform Abstract

Novel catalysts (Ia) and (Ib) and the hafnium and titanium analogues of (Ia) are prepared. Methylalumoxane(MAO)-activated complexes (I) catalyze the polymerization of liquid propene with good activities to high isotactic, fully regioregular polypropene. Complex (Ia) shows a marked improvement with respect to its analogue (Ic) in both catalyst accessibility and performance.
