ChemInform Abstract

The fluorine-containing building blocks (II) and (XVI) are prepared from phosphonate (I) by treatment with either one or two equivalents FN(SO2Ph)2. Monofluoro derivative (II) is further applied to the regiospecific synthesis of fluorinated analogues of enynes and enediynes, and α-fluoroallenylphosphonate, and the stereoselective synthesis of fluorinated derivatives of vinylphosphonates. The difluoro derivative (XVI) forms exclusively γ-substitution products (XVII) and (XVIII) by treatment with Bu4NF and electrophiles (water, PhCHO).
