ChemInform Abstract

Reaction of 5-aryltetrazoles with adamantyl alcohol gives exclusively 2-(1-adamatyl)tetrazoles [cf. (III), (V)] which show no tendency to isomerization. Contrary, tetrazole and 5-methyltetrazole provide equilibrium mixtures of corresponding 1- and 2-(1-adamantyl)tetrazoles under similar conditions.
