ChemInform Abstract
The new cyclohexaphosphate of title is prepared by addition of (H2NCH2CH2)3N to an aq. solution of H6P6O18 freshly prepared from Li6P6O18 by ion exchange (amberlite IR120). ((NH3CH2CH2)3N) 2P6O18×6H2O crystallizes in the triclinic space group P
with Z = 1. The structure consists of layers of P6O186- rings. The organic cations are located between the layers and form hydrogen bonds with the oxygen atoms of the anions and the water molecules.
