ChemInform Abstract

Trispyrazolylborateplatinum(methyl) alkyne complexes such as (I) and (IV) are easily prepared from the corresponding alkynes and polymeric trispyrazolylborateplatinum(methyl). The alkyne complex withstands a variety of reaction conditions allowing the functionalization of the alkyne. The alkynes [cf. (III) and (VI)] can be conveniently released by the use of carbon monoxide.
