The title compounds are prepared from melts of mixtures of the elements. The isotypic [SnP3] compounds crystallize in the orthorhombic system (space group Cmca, Z = 8) as determined by single crystal XRD, and contain dimeric [Sn2P6]10- anions formed by edge-sharing of two SnP4 tetrahedra. Na2K3[SnBi3] crystallizes in the orthorhombic system with space group Ibca and Z = 8. In the anionic partial structure [SnBi4] tetrahedra are connected via common corners to infinite 1∞[SnBi3]5- Zweier-single chains. The Na and K cations separate the chains from each other.
