ChemInform Abstract

The Pd(0)-catalyzed addition of tin hydrides to thioalkynes occurs regio- and stereospecifically to give the title compounds such as (I). Their irreversible oxidation potentials are determined by cyclic voltammetry. These provide evidence for significant interactions between the C—Sn σ bond and sulfur 3p lone pair orbital in cases with appropriate geometry.
