ChemInform Abstract

(Ni(cyclam))(ClO4)2 catalyzes the indirect electroreduction of olefinic bromides of the types (I), (III), (V), and (VII) to afford the corresponding six-membered compounds. Derivatives (VI) and (VIII) represent precursors of alkaloids. The electrolysis of bromoacetates leads merely to debromination.
