ChemInform Abstract

Transglycosylation of permethylated methyl D-glucopyranosides (cf. (I)) with 1,5-anhydro-D-glucitols under conditions of reductive oligosaccharide cleavage provides disaccharide derivatives as mixtures of anomers. A disaccharide which could be formed by a transglycosylation reaction is observed during the reductive cleavage of permethylated pullulan.
