ChemInform Abstract

It is found that partially protected or unprotected glycosides undergo regioselective sulfation with SO3×NEt3 via stannanediyl acetals or stannyl ethers. In the presence of temporary protecting groups this method is an efficient way to prepare monosulfated saccharides like ( IV) which are of biological interest.
