ChemInform Abstract

The structures of the new cis-fused kalihinene terpenes (I) and 6- hydroxy-kalihinene terpenes (II) are confirmed by spectroscopic means, X-ray analysis and biogenetic arguments. The presence of different members of the kalihinane family can be used to chemically distinguish various populations of A. cavernosa.
