ChemInform Abstract

Decarboxylation of the 1,9-dicarboxydipyrromethanes (I) and reaction with chlorosulfonyl isocyanate (II) yield the 1,9- dicyanodipyrromethanes (III). Cyanation of the heterocycles (IV) gives the dicyano derivatives (V).
