ChemInform Abstract

The title compounds are prepared by solid state reaction of the corresponding alkaline earth metal antimonides with the transition metals at 660-800 °C (3 h, slow cooling to 600 °C, evacuated silica tube). Single crystal XRD data are presented for CaFe4Sb12, SrRu4Sb12, and BaRu4Sb12 (space group Im3, Z = 2, LaFe4P12- type structure).
