A conformational study on the energies and geometries of the stable conformers of pilocarpidine (I) and its biologically inactive isomer isopilocarpidine (II) is carried out by molecular mechanics MM2 and semiempirical quantum chemical AM1 in order to shed some light on structure-activity relationships.
