ChemInform Abstract

Allylic alcohols such as (I) or (IV) react with the O-silylated ketene acetal (II) in the presence of LiClO4 in ether to form products such as (III) or (V) and (VI). The cyclopropyl carbinol (VII) reacts analogously under similar conditions.
