ChemInform Abstract

Irradiation of the iodoacetates (Ia) and (IIIa) and the iodoacetamides (Ib), (Ic), and (IIIb) in the presence of hexabutyldistannane in benzene yields the cyclization products (II) and (IV) respectively. The influence of the temperature and the amount of hexabutyldistannane used on this reaction is investigated.
