ChemInform Abstract

Polycrystalline samples of the title compounds are prepared by annealing stoichiometric mixtures of Li2CO3, M2CO3 (M: Cs, Rb, Tl), and (NH4)2HPO4 at 573-623 K. For LiCs(PO3)2 and Li2Tl(PO3)3, the preparation of single crystals is described (reaction of the carbonates in a H3PO4 flux). The isotypic compounds LiM(PO3)2 with M: Cs, Rb crystallize in the space group Fdd2, Z = 32; the compounds Li2M( PO3)3 with M: Cs, Rb, Tl are isotypic with Li2NH4(PO3)3, space group Pbca, Z = 8.
