The chiral pyrrolidine derivatives (I) and (IV) of opposite chirality are transformed in situ into the corresponding nitrosocarbonyl derivatives, which undergo hetero-Diels-Alder reaction with cyclohexadiene (II) and form with excellent stereoselectivity the adducts (III) and (IV), which are also of opposite chirality.
