Abstract

The existence of a true B≡C triple bond in the deprotonated borylborataalkynes (I) is confirmed by means of an X-ray structure determination of the dilithium salt of (Ia) as a bis(diethyl ether) adduct (space group P21/c, Z=4) and NMR spectroscopic data.

ChemInform Abstract

The existence of a true B≡C triple bond in the deprotonated borylborataalkynes (I) is confirmed by means of an X-ray structure determination of the dilithium salt of (Ia) as a bis(diethyl ether) adduct (space group P21/c, Z=4) and NMR spectroscopic data. The Bsp-Csp distance found for the dilithium salt of (Ia) is in exact agreement with that calculated for HB-≡CH.
