Abstract

Treatment of the allylphosphonate (I) with lithium hexamethyldisilazide leads to the formation of allylphosphonate anions which are coupled in situ with trimethylchlorosilane (II) to give the 3-trimethylsilyl-1-propenylphosphonate (III).

ChemInform Abstract

Treatment of the allylphosphonate (I) with lithium hexamethyldisilazide leads to the formation of allylphosphonate anions which are coupled in situ with trimethylchlorosilane (II) to give the 3-trimethylsilyl-1-propenylphosphonate (III). This is converted to the bis(trimethylsilyl)allylphosphonate (IV) using the same procedure.
