ChemInform Abstract

The study reveals that reactions of phosphaalkynes such as (II) with Rh(I) compounds are more complex than with the corresponding Co(I) compounds. Besides (III), the two complexes (IV) (space group P1, Z=2) and (V) (P21/c, Z=4) that contain derivatives of the new ligated systems 1-rhoda-2,5-diphosphacyclopentenediyl and 1,2,4,5-tetraphosphabenzenediyl, respectively, are obtained as main products. The NMR spectra of (IV) reveal restricted rotation of one of the indenyl groups.
