Abstract
The aminoethylphosphonates (III) are prepared by coupling the bromoethylphosphonate (I) with the amines (II) or by reaction of the aminochloroethanes (IV) with the sodium dialkyl phosphites (V).

The aminoethylphosphonates (III) are prepared by coupling the bromoethylphosphonate (I) with the amines (II) or by reaction of the aminochloroethanes (IV) with the sodium dialkyl phosphites (V). Hydrolysis of (III) produces the monoesters (VI) which are converted into the sodium salts (VIII) upon treatment with sodium hydroxide.
