Abstract

The aminobenzothiophenes mentioned in the title (III) are synthesized from the bromonitrobenzothiophene (I) and the amines (II).

ChemInform Abstract

The aminobenzothiophenes mentioned in the title (III) are synthesized from the bromonitrobenzothiophene (I) and the amines (II). Reductive cyclocondensation of (III) with triethyl orthoformate (IV) produces the fused imidazoles (V). The pharmacological investigation proves dose-related analgesic activities for (IIIa), (IIIb), and (IIId). Compound (IIIc) is inactive. The antiexudative responses, the ulcerogenic potential, and LD50-values for (III) are determined. The compounds (V) do not show any analgesic or antiinflammatory activities. (No yields given).
