Abstract

The structural effects of the alkyl component of the esters (II) employed in the enzymatic resolution of 2-octanol (I) are investigated.

ChemInform Abstract

The structural effects of the alkyl component of the esters (II) employed in the enzymatic resolution of 2-octanol (I) are investigated. The reaction rates can be correlated with the Hammett σρ-relationship (yields of (S)-(I) not given).
