ChemInform Abstract

is studied using voltammetry, potential step techniques, and ac impedance measurements. In the case of Li, evidence for a sufficient insertion according to the scheme is found. The highest Li concentration obtained during the reversible process, observed in the potential range 3.15-2.15 Vs. Li in 1 M LiClO4/propylene carbonate, corresponds to a ratio Li:Y = 0.4-0.5. An estimated diffusion coefficient of the order 10-12 cm2/s is indicative of a rather rigid bond between the layers in the lattice of the ceramic electrode material.
