ChemInform Abstract

The hydroxytryptamine (I) is N-protected with the chloroformate (II) and then converted to the N-(4,4-dimethoxybutoxy) derivative (V). Careful deprotection and subsequent acidic treatment result in the formation of the corynanthe analogue (VII). Further examples are given in the original paper.
