Abstract

The (alkylamino)dinitronaphthalenes (I) react with primary amines, e.g. (II), in DMSO under exchange of the amino substituents to give (alkylamino)dinitronaphthalenes such as (III).

ChemInform Abstract

The (alkylamino)dinitronaphthalenes (I) react with primary amines, e.g. (II), in DMSO under exchange of the amino substituents to give (alkylamino)dinitronaphthalenes such as (III). The transamination of (arylamino)dinitronaphthalenes, e.g. (IV), requires higher temperatures and longer reaction times.
