Abstract
Photo-induced Wolff rearrangement of diazocephem oxides such as (I) yields directly 1-oxocarbapen-2-ems such as (II).

Photo-induced Wolff rearrangement of diazocephem oxides such as (I) yields directly 1-oxocarbapen-2-ems such as (II). The latter is transformed into the hydrogenated derivatives (III) and (IV).
