Abstract

Depending on the conditions the reaction of pyrylium salts, e.g. (I), with the cyclic diketones (II) leads to compounds of type (IV) or (VII).

Depending on the conditions the reaction of pyrylium salts, e.g. (I), with the cyclic diketones (II) leads to compounds of type (IV) or (VII). The transformation of (VII) of (IV) is possible.
