ChemInform Abstract

The reaction between 2-vinyloxyethylamine (I) and dichlorocarbene proceeds regioselectively at the amino function to yield the title compound (III), the first representative of a hitherto unknown class of compounds. These compounds have a vinyl group and an isocyano group as reactive centers and hence, are of potential interest as versatile synthetic intermediates.
