ChemInform Abstract

The title compound is prepared by annealing a mixture of ZnF2 and Nb2O5 (1:7; 900-1200 °C, 1-5 d). TEM results show the structure of ZnNb14O35F2 to consist of a monoclinic arrangement of edge sharing (3 · 5) blocks, as already observed for the isotypic compound MgNb14O35F2 (lattice parameters of the title compound are given).
