ChemInform Abstract

The anticorrosive and lubricant properties of the title compounds (III), (V), (VI) and (VII) are investigated, revealing that the quality of lubricating oils is improved by adding small amounts of the title compounds. The thiocarbonyl compounds (V) and (VII) are found to be more effective anticorrosives as compared to their carbonyl analogues (III) and (VI). The compound (VIIb) is the most effective anticorrosive.
