Abstract
Coupling of the fluorinated acetophenones (I) with the benzaldehydes (II) leads to the formation of the chalcones (III).

Coupling of the fluorinated acetophenones (I) with the benzaldehydes (II) leads to the formation of the chalcones (III). Cyclocondensation of (III) with pentafluorophenylhydrazine (IV) or hydroxylamine hydrochloride (VI) yields the pyrazoles (V) or the isoxazoles (VII).
